Move to the Vibe of Glorietta
I’m back from being missing in action once again but as I’ve promise I’ll blog about my once in a lifetime experience about the “Move to the Vibe of Glorietta” event which happened last November 29. It was a preparation for the opening of the newly reconstructed part of Glorietta which was affected by the bombing incident way back 2007, and for the celebration of the new Glorietta Mall an event was made to set a record for the most people walking on a catwalk. In cooperation with AVA and sponsored by Globe Tattoo, Move to the Vibe of Glorietta was made possible, the target participants was 2,500 models and there were several ways to join. Not only professional models was able to join the event but also normal and average people were also invited for this spectacular event. It was an open to the public event and different people all over the country were able to join.
There were several ways to join and one of it was registering your fiercest photo and you ever got the most likes/vote will be able to join. I was invited by AVA because I’ve subscribed from their site and luckily I was able to join the event. I along with some of my blogger friends were chosen as the representative of AVA. Similar faces were seen on the event and the whole place was packed. See the photos below to have a glimpse of what happened on the event. After the registrations and rehearsal, we were divided into several group to have an organized routine. I along with Jilliane were part of the orange team and were gathered in different holding areas. In there, we had our meals, make up and waiting area before we have our final fitting. As the model of AVA, we just wore an AVA shirt and we will be the one to provide for the bottoms.Jilliane had her make up done first and the make up artist were composed of a professional team. This was the people who are still waiting to have their make ups done. After the fitting and make up, we were given the brands that we will be representing for the show. The orange team was assigned for the brand of Baggu, it is a brand of an economical bag which is sold at AVA.ph
The show started with a bang! And we were waiting on the other side of the stage. So while the models are preparing, raffles and best dressed were presented. Too bad the participants was not part of it, Globe Tattoo gave away an iPad. The hosts of the event was Billy Crawford and Bianca Gonzales. Many local celebrities joined the runway and they were representing some brands. I was able to have pictures taken with them, it was cool walking the catwalk with the famous celebrities:)The show was composed of several brand of clothing, shoe line and retail stores that you can find at Glorietta. And here comes the AVA group, Baggu and Rags to Riches were the brands that was assigned to us.
Jill, Kaze and I didn’t have a perfect shot on the runway cause it was a fast routine. Jill was on a side view on the photo below. While Me was about to turn when the photo was taken. While Kaze’s picture was exposed to the lights so it was a fail too. But at least we have our shots taken on the runway:)
There was a special guest performer too, I’m not sure if he was a member of the band Click Five but if I’m not mistaken it was Kyle Patrick was his name. And the counting still continued until it reach the end. And it was a success cause we beat the record and it was official that we set a record of the most people walking on the catwalk.
It was indeed a once in lifetime experience and I’m proud to say that I was part of the new record or should I say history? hahaha. Though we haven’t got a perfect shot of ourselves on the runway, being a model just at least for a day was truly a memorable experience:) My dream to walk on a runway came true and I’m happy cause I got the chance to walk in front of an audience. Hope you liked my post for the day! Stay tune for my next post and the people I met during the event.
Thanks to Kaze’s boyfriend for taking the photos.
